You are right: The poem that I chose to go with the X Anniversary of the foundation of the Nueva Logia del Tentáculo was somewhat sad, a little moody and definitely melancholic.

It was a part of an old poem dedicated to the Mediterranean Sea, that’s why there’s a sea vocabulary. But I think the interpretation must be in the reader’s mind, his or her feelings or background.

Anyway, I think our Lovecraft Society has been great, crowded, important, new, original and many other adjectives, which still go around like a part of its description. Now, for example, there are features of new, original, international with the Lovecraftlogia webpage. There is a kind of professional way to build it up with both the Spanish and Finnish teams.

It is true that our Nueva Logia has suffered important loss: Kryshul who was so enthusiastic at group activities, Dogon who was so prolific at all the genres and Curwen who was "the soul of this forum" and an excellent public relation person and an enthusiastic worker of cinema... So, we have to recover all those skills, tasks; to fill up all vacuum they have left behind.

On the hand, I’m very excited at the thought that we have a new webpage, that we have very good human material to go on working by developing our hobbies and interests.

Dear Dr Armitage
The poem is exactly as it should be and as you thought it to be; to reflect the history of the gone years, ups and downs, accomplishments and losses - it is fine as it is.

To me, the spring flower is a sign of light and new life. It grows from the roots of the past, the work that has been done; it will blossom and shine as a jewel thanks to the work and achievements that still lay ahead of us.

With you as Webmaster and engine of the website, I am sure we shall see many such blossoms in the future.

There is time for melancholy and time for joy. With all due respect, I wote for joy and happy times, for you and for the new website on which you work with such great devotion.

You have interpreted Ebenezer Holt’s Illustration for the X Anniversary of Nueva Logia It’s just so, the Tree with spring flowers, the roots, past, present and above all future: Our Future with the new web, with the new blood coming from the Finnish Team and especially: Sinä/You.

On the other hand, people must know that our web has given some steps ahead, new people and new objectives: To hobbies, culture and leisure... there is a new aspect: teaching and education because we have the support and help from The Helsinki University of Metropolia, teachers and students.
